Alice’s example: [I remember the day when I was walking my son home from nursery and I suddenly couldn’t take another step. It was like someone had turned my energy off with a switch and I now couldn’t hold the weight of my own body up. 

This was my first experience of burnout. 

I was a sleep-deprived single parent, running my own business and constantly feeling like I was pushing to a finish line that never came. Every moment in my life was juggling a to-do list, I even used to lie in Yin Yoga Classes writing emails in my head so as not to “waste” any time!

Burning out was scary. But it was also a HUGE wake-up call that allowed me to uncover the real reasons I was struggling and find the solutions I needed to thrive that the Doctors couldn’t give me.]
